AL48 now available for Jet-A1 users

Like many other airports, we’ve been supplying Jet fuel without the AL48 Icing Inhibitor for many months. This is because of well publicised problems with the effect AL48 has on some types of fuel filters commonly fitted to bowsers or fixed fuelling installations.

We’re pleased to announce that, thanks to our fuel suppliers Air Total, we’re once again able to offer Jet-A1 fuel with the AL48 additive. We’re doing this using a bowser which optionally injects the additive on delivery. We’ll only add the AL48 if you ask for it, so tell the fuellers if you want it - we don’t charge any extra. Helicopter operators will be pleased to know that the additive is also available when refuelling rotors running.
