From the 1st August the airfield will return to normal 7 day operations open from 09.00 to 18.00 local times.
The airport remains closed airside to the general public for the moment. However viewing areas at the main car park and fence-line are accessible. The cafe remains closed but a temporary food van will be available from Sunday 2nd August 2020 at weekends.
Visiting aircraft are welcome but will need to follow COVID-19 procedures in place on arrival.
Out of Hours
Pilots can fly during periods when the airfield is closed following the existing Out of Hours Permit system. All flights are strictly PPR and must follow the agreed procedure and all government guidelines.
An out of hours permit must be signed and on completion of the flight and a movements form submitted with flight details. Both forms are available by clicking here.
Please note during published hours all PPR requests should be made directly with ATC on 01384 221378
During periods when the airfield is closed PPR should be requested by email : firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone 07979144902 Flights are not to take place without PPR.
Access to Site
Access to the airport remains restricted and the main gates are are only open during operating hours daily. Personnel requiring access to their units will be able to do so via the key code if closed.

Tenants are asked to make their own arrangements in regard receipt of mail / deliveries when the airfield is closed. The airport office will not be able to receive all deliveries during this period.
